Football Recap: Strong Performance on D from Jagger Slawinski and Luke Lorenzen Leads Johnson City over Miles

Miles came into Friday's matchup looking for another win against Johnson City, but Heston Hohenberger wouldn't allow it. The Eagles blew past the Bulldogs 49-6 on Friday with plenty of help from Hohenberger, who rushed for 111 yards and one score, and also picked up 59 receiving yards. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 95 yards.

Johnson City didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jagger Slawinski and Luke Lorenzen. Lorenzen got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The win made it two in a row for Johnson City and bumps their season record up to 2-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 18 points in those games. As for Miles, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Johnson City will head out to square off against Comfort at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 973 yards in their previous games. As for Miles, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Eldorado at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
