Recap: Arapahoe Warriors vs. Bertrand Vikings

There's no place like home for the Arapahoe Warriors, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top against Bertrand by a score of 47-37 on Thursday. That's another feather in the cap for Arapahoe, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Leading Arapahoe to victory were Berkley Warner and Cadence Carpenter. Warner scored 13 points along with six assists and three steals, while Carpenter scored 17 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Carpenter has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Desi Farner, who scored five points along with five steals.

Despite the defeat, Bertrand saw an underclassman step up: Shelby Schoene scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Schoene is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight.

Arapahoe pushed their record up to 9-9 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Bertrand, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Arapahoe will be playing in front of their home fans against Alma at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alma will be looking to extend their current 13-game winning streak. As for Bertrand, they will head out on the road to take on Cambridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Cambridge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Thursday.
