Basketball Game Preview: Oakland-Craig Knights vs. Bishop Neumann Cavaliers

The Oakland-Craig Knights will face off against the Bishop Neumann Cavaliers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Oakland-Craig comes in on four and Bishop Neumann on three.

Oakland-Craig is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Brownell Talbot: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Oakland-Craig blew Brownell Talbot out of the water with a 60-33 final score. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 21 points or more this season.

Sonya Guzinski was nothing short of spectacular: she went 7-for-17 en route to 20 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Adi Rennerfeldt, who went 6-for-12 on her way to 16 points and five boards.

Meanwhile, Bishop Neumann posted their biggest victory since January 25th on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 58-25 win over Aquinas.

Oakland-Craig pushed their record up to 21-3 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to offensive boards: they averaged an imposing 12.79 offensive rebounds in those games compared to only 12.79 in the others. As for Bishop Neumann, their win bumped their record up to 15-7.
