Soccer Recap: Gardena Comes Up Short at Home Against Jordan

Gardena unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They took a 5-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jordan Bulldogs on Thursday.

Franco Valenzuela and Tonyi Phillips scored all three of Gardena's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

The win got Jordan back to even at 1-1.

Gardena and Jordan will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Panthers see the pitch they'll take on Hawthorne at 5:00 p.m. on December 1. As for Jordan, their break will end when they face Fairfax at 4:00 p.m. on December 1.
