Basketball Recap: Denovian Flowers' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Central Gwinnett over Dacula

Central Gwinnett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 66-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dacula Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-54 back in January.

Central Gwinnett's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Denovian Flowers, who posted ten points along with seven steals and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Flowers a new career-high in steals. Caleb Mcdougald was another key player, putting up ten points and five boards.

Central Gwinnett's defeat dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Dacula, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-12 record this season.

Central Gwinnett wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 54-52 win against Dacula on the 8th. As for Dacula, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 68-59 loss against Buford on the 4th.
