Dynamic duo of Brayden Santos and Kale Gustafson lead Osceola to victory

Recap: Osceola Bulldogs vs. McCool Junction Mustangs

On Thursday, the Osceola Bulldogs's game was all tied up 25-25 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They secured a 53-47 W over McCool Junction. The win made it back-to-back wins for Osceola.

Osceola was led to victory by Brayden Santos and Kale Gustafson. Santos scored 16 points, while Gustafson dropped a double-double on 21 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which Gustafson has scored at least a third of Osceola's points. Kelby Neujahr was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five assists and three steals.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mapieu Kouchinin, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ryland Garretson, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and two steals.

Osceola has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for McCool Junction, their loss ended a 13-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-2.

Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Bruning-Davenport/Shickley the next time they take the court. McCool Junction will head out to face Bruning-Davenport/Shickley at 7:45 p.m. on Friday, while Osceola will host them at 7:45 p.m. on January 30th.
