Soccer Recap: Youngsville Academy Charter's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

After flying high against Durham Charter last Thursday, Youngsville Academy Charter came back down to earth. The Firebirds came up short against the Howard Eagles on Wednesday, falling 9-5. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Youngsville Academy Charter were already down 6-2.

They hit Howard with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Emma Hicks (2), Rylee Hill (2), and Cecelia Wrenn.

Having lost for the first time this season, Youngsville Academy Charter fell to 2-1. As for Howard, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Looking ahead, Youngsville Academy Charter will challenge Durham Charter at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Howard will be paying especially close attention to the Firebirds' matchup: after the Firebirds face off against Bethesda Christian Academy, they'll take on Howard again at 4:00 p.m. on May 1.
