Hamilton and Basha are an even 4-4 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Huskies are taking a road trip to face off against the Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are still undefeated after seven games, but that won't be the case come Friday.
Hamilton is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Pinnacle, who was ranked seventh at the time (Hamilton was ranked second). The Huskies claimed a resounding 49-13 win over the Pioneers. The 49-point effort marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

 Jax Sculley
| 10/17/25 vs Pinnacle | 444 |
| 08/28/25 @ ALA - Queen Creek | 372 |
| 09/26/25 vs Centennial | 345 |
| 10/03/25 @ Valley Vista | 339 |
| 09/19/25 vs Brophy College Prep | 327 |
A big part of Hamilton's victory came down to the chemistry between Jax Sculley and his top target Roye Oliver III. Sculley threw for 444 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 13.5 yards per attempt while Oliver III picked up 284 receiving yards and four scores. Those 444 passing yards gave Sculley a new career-high. Jacob Brown handled things on the ground, rushing for 90 yards and a rushing touchdown.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Basha). They blew past Salpointe Catholic, posting a 58-7 win. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won five games by 22 points or more so far this season.
Basha's win came from a few key players Hamilton will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brodie Vehrs, who threw for 190 yards and three TDs on only 15 passes. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jake Rogers, who threw for 105 yards and one touchdown while completing 87.5% of his passes.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Basha proved: they limited Salpointe Catholic to a paltry three yards per carry. While two picked up at least three total tackles, Xavier Rivera-Rogers stood above the rest. He made three total tackles and defended two passes. Basha's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 5.4.
Hamilton's record is now 7-0. As for Basha, their record now sits at an identical 7-0.
Friday's matchup will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Sculley and Vehrs. Sculley just won't slow down this season and has thrown 35 touchdowns (and and only 5 pick) while averaging 340.4 passing yards per game. Vehrs has been a dominant force too and has thrown 18 touchdowns (and and only 3 picks) while averaging 195.7 passing yards per game.
Hamilton lost to Basha on the road by a decisive 35-20 margin when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Huskies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
