Basketball Recap: Patchogue-Medford Comes Up Short

Patchogue-Medford lost against Walt Whitman back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Patchogue-Medford Raiders came up short against the Walt Whitman Wildcats, falling 76-56.

Patchogue-Medford dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Walt Whitman, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Patchogue-Medford will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Riverhead at 6:30 p.m. on February 6th. As for Walt Whitman, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Walt Whitman Wildcats take on the Longwood Lions at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
