Soccer Game Preview: Dunn vs. Santa Ynez

The Dunn Earwigs will face off against the Santa Ynez Pirates at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Dunn is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.7 goals per game this season.

Dunn's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Thacher with a sharp 3-0 win. Given the Earwigs' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 342nd, while the Toads are ranked 955th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bosco Delgado and Hudson VonderLieth scored all three of Dunn's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Meanwhile, Santa Ynez and Templeton finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw on Friday.

With that draw, Santa Ynez's record moves to 4-9-3. As for Dunn, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
