South Sevier waltzed into their game on Saturday with 19 straight wins... but they left with 20. They came out on top against the American Fork Cavemen by a score of 5-1. For the Rams, this counts as revenge for the 10-6 victory the Cavemen walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2017.
Navey Lindsay made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Caitlin Nielson was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
South Sevier hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in nine consecutive matchups.
