Basketball Game Preview: Celeste Blue Devils vs. Bland Tigers

The Celeste Blue Devils will head out to face off against the Bland Tigers at 8:15 p.m. on Friday. Celeste is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

Celeste lost 61-40 to Sam Rayburn on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1186th, while the Rebels are ranked 435th).

Meanwhile, Bland was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 51-50 to Tom Bean. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Celeste's defeat dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Bland, their loss dropped their record down to 15-13.

Celeste came up short against Bland when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 52-42. Can Celeste avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
