Soccer Game Preview: Tomales vs. Credo

Tomales hasn't had much luck against Credo recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Braves will head out to face off against the Gryphon at 4:30 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Tomales is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Point Arena on Monday. Neither the Braves nor the Pirates could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Tomales' goal came courtesy of Maya Graves, which was the first she's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Credo faced Kelseyville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Gryphon lost 4-0 to the Knights.

Credo's loss dropped their record down to 5-3-1. Tomales' draw gives them a new season record of 3-4-1.

Tomales suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to Credo when the teams last played back in August. Can the Braves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
