Volleyball Game Preview: Palma Chieftains vs. Monte Vista Christian Mustangs

The Palma Chieftains will head out to challenge the Monte Vista Christian Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Palma will be strutting in after a victory while Monte Vista Christian will be coming in after a loss.

Palma took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Santa Catalina by a score of 3-1. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Chieftains as it put an end to their five-match losing streak.

Palma walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 15-25, 25-14, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Monte Vista Christian came up short against Pacific Grove on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-17, 25-16.

Monte Vista Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season. As for Palma, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Palma beat Monte Vista Christian 3-1 in their previous matchup back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chieftains since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
