Basketball Recap: Trevon Nava's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Burley over Mountain Home

It was a proper cat-fight when Burley duked it out withMountain Home on Wednesday. The Burley Bobcats lost 66-46 to the Mountain Home Tigers. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Burley lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Trevon Nava, who posted seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tucker Alvey, who put up five points and five rebounds.

Even though they lost, Burley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Burley dropped their record down to 3-13 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Mountain Home, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-13.

Burley has already played their next match, a 49-47 victory against Jerome on the 31st. Mountain Home has also already played their next game (against Minico), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
