Volleyball Recap: Frederick Baptist Academy Takes a Loss

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Frederick Baptist Academy and Martinsburg Christian Academy meet (two straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Patriots took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The Patriots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 29-27, 27-25.

Frederick Baptist Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Martinsburg Christian Academy, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 5-8.

Frederick Baptist Academy has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Independent Baptist Academy on the 31st. Martinsburg Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
