Greenwood Mennonite had won 16 straight games dating back to last season and Carter Long did his part to make it 17 on Monday. The Greenwood Mennonite Flames snuck past Varsity Opponent with a 56-51 win thanks in part to Long, who went 7 of 14 en route to 28 points and six assists. Long is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

Another player making a difference was Woody Bates, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 11 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.
