Recap: Sammamish RedHawks vs. Life Christian Academy Eagles

Even though the Life Christian Academy Eagles scored an imposing 60 points on Tuesday, the Sammamish RedHawks still came out on top. Sammamish narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Life Christian Academy 62-60.

Sammamish got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Rakin Showki out in front who scored 14 points. Keith Kariuki was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.

Despite the loss, Life Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Darius Imperial, who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. Imperial continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Judah Noonan, who scored 12 points.

Sammamish pushed their record up to 6-3 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Life Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sammamish will finish 2023 at home by hosting Federal Way at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Federal Way knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Sammamish likes a good challenge. Life Christian Academy will finish 2023 at home by hosting Evergreen at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
