Basketball Game Preview: La Salle Institute Cadets vs. Troy Flying Horses

The La Salle Institute Cadets will challenge the Troy Flying Horses at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. La Salle Institute is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

On Friday, La Salle Institute lost to Guilderland at home by a 67-51 margin.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Troy). Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 63-35 stomp they got against Hudson Falls. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Flying Horses with their most commanding win of the season.

Troy found their leader in sophomore Amaya Harris, who went 10 for 16 on her way to 24 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which Harris has scored at least a third of Troy's points. Another player making a difference was Kiana Tiernan, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards.

The win got Troy back to even at 4-4. As for La Salle Institute, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
