Baseball Game Preview: Davis Sr. Blue Devils vs. Whitney Wildcats

The Davis Sr. Blue Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Whitney Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 27 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Davis Sr. and six for Whitney.

Things were looking good for Davis Sr. after they put the first run on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against Granite Bay, falling 11-1. Blue Devils fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Grizzlies since Friday.

Zeef Barrios was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Those stolen bases were his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Whitney suffered their biggest loss since April 2nd on Friday. They lost 10-0 to Folsom. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

Davis Sr.'s defeat dropped their record down to 0-25. As for Whitney, their loss dropped their record down to 8-16.

Davis Sr. suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to Whitney in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
