Basketball Recap: Agoura Snags Seventh Victory in Last Nine Games

Agoura lost to Crescenta Valley back in December of 2015, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Agoura Chargers strolled past the Crescenta Valley Falcons with points to spare, taking the game 74-56. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chargers.

When it comes to explaining why Crescenta Valley lost, don't look at Michael Sahagian. Despite the final result, he posted 33 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Matteo Mesrobian, who put up six points and five rebounds.

Agoura is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for Crescenta Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Agoura will take on King's Academy in a tournament on Thursday. Agoura knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully King's Academy likes a good challenge. As for Crescenta Valley, they will be taking part in a tournament against Palisades at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Palisades has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
