Baseball Recap: Gateway's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Gateway came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Northfield Nighthawks, falling 20-1.

Gateway saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maikol Ochoa, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Gateway's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-8. As for Northfield, their record now sits at 16-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gateway will square off against Alameda at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northfield, they will venture away from home to square off against Longmont at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Nighthawks are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
