Basketball Game Preview: Emmanuel Christian Warriors vs. North Central Eagles

The Emmanuel Christian Warriors will venture away from home to square off against the North Central Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Emmanuel Christian will be strutting in after a victory while North Central will be coming in after a loss.

Emmanuel Christian is headed into the game having just posted their closest win since January 3, 2024 on Friday. They had just enough and edged Cardinal Stritch out 48-45. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, North Central ended up a good deal behind Montpelier on Friday and lost 67-49. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 683rd, while the Locomotives are ranked 332nd).

North Central's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Emmanuel Christian, their win bumped their record up to 8-11.

Emmanuel Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over North Central in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 73-63. The rematch might be a little tougher for Emmanuel Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
