Baseball Game Preview: Mater Academy Charter Lions vs. Southridge Spartans

The Mater Academy Charter Lions will face off against the Southridge Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mater Academy Charter's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Southridge's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Mater Academy Charter's offense. They fell just short of John Carroll Catholic by a score of 1-0 on Saturday. The game marked the first time this season in which the Lions were not able to get on the board.

Alfrin Rosario was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits.

The victory got Southridge back to even at 2-2. As for Mater Academy Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
