Volleyball Recap: Carlisle Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Carlisle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chiefs of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Carlisle took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-22, 26-24.

DeAmber Harris paced Carlisle's offense, picking up eight kills. Harris got some help from Maxie Garrett and her 14 assists. Harris was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Carlisle's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Miller School of Albemarle, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-4.

Carlisle didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Virginia Episcopal School on the 7th. As for Miller School of Albemarle, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against New Covenant on the 7th.
