Softball Recap: Central Valley Christian Cavaliers vs. Immanuel Eagles

Central Valley Christian extended their losing streak to ten on Friday, dropping their season record down to 3-13 in the process. They came up short against the Immanuel Eagles, falling 12-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 24-0 back in April.

As for Immanuel, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-5-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games.

For Immanuel's part, not much got past Amanda Herrera, who gave up just two hits and racked up six Ks to keep Central Valley Christian off the board. Herrera has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Natalia Delgadillo, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Camdyn Efird, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

As of now, neither Central Valley Christian nor Immanuel have any future games scheduled.
