Softball Recap: Tyler Comes Up Short

If Tyler was riding high fresh off their 15-9 takedown of South Harrison on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 9-8 on Saturday. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hawks earlier this season, when they won 15-9.

Tyler has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for South Harrison, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-8.

Coming up, Tyler will take on Ritchie County on Monday. The Rebels' pitching crew has only allowed one run per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for South Harrison, they will venture away from home to face off against Williamstown at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
