Volleyball Recap: Fairfield Comes Up Short

Fairfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Johnson Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Thursday.

While Fairfield ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-19, 20-25, 25-19.

Fairfield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Johnson, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4.

Fairfield has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Florin on the 31st. As for Johnson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Valley on the 31st.
