Basketball Game Preview: El Dorado Wildcats vs. Circle Thunderbirds

El Dorado hasn't had much luck against Circle recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The El Dorado Wildcats will welcome the Circle Thunderbirds at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

El Dorado is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game on Friday. They took a 56-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Augusta.

Meanwhile, Circle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost to Buhler on the road by a 50-34 margin. While losing is never fun, the Thunderbirds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while the Crusaders are ranked 62nd).

El Dorado's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13-1. As for Circle, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7-1.

El Dorado was taken down by Circle 58-20 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can El Dorado avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
