Soccer Game Preview: Seckman vs. Jackson

Seckman hasn't had much luck against Jackson recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Jaguars will look to defend their home pitch against the Fighting Indians at 5:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Seckman's offense. They lost 5-0 to Ladue Horton Watkins on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Seckman can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri soccer rankings (they are ranked 87th, while Ladue Horton Watkins are ranked eighth).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Jackson, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Northwest a 1-0 shutout on Friday. The victory continues a trend for Jackson in their matchups with Northwest: they've now won five in a row.

Seckman's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Jackson, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.
