Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Voorheesville). They were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Clinton Comets on Sunday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Blackbirds considering their two-run performance the match before.

Voorheesville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Clinton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Voorheesville didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-2 victory against Stockbridge Valley on the 11th. As for Clinton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 24-0 loss against Avoca Central on the 11th.
