Softball Recap: Dekaney Comes Up Short

Dekaney managed to slip by Eisenhower the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wildcats came up short against the Eagles on Tuesday, falling 16-10.

AaLiyah Benitez was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Nathanly Cardona, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Dekaney's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Eisenhower, they pushed their record up to 14-10 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Dekaney will host Spring at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least ten runs in their last 11 contests. As for Eisenhower, they will square off against Nimitz at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Cougars have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
