Softball Recap: Foard Comes Up Short

If Foard was feeling good fresh off their 9-2 takedown of North Lincoln on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers fell just short of the North Iredell Raiders by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Raiders earlier this season, when they won 10-0.

Mattie Leonhardt was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.

Foard's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for North Iredell, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-12 record.

As of now, neither Foard nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
