Baseball Recap: Mora Comes Up Short

Mora managed to slip by Mesa Vista the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Rangers lost 13-5 to the Trojans on Tuesday.

Marcus Vigil made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Diego Atencio, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Mora has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Mesa Vista, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Mora is headed away from home for the first time to take on Pecos at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Mesa Vista, they will head out to face off against Penasco at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
