Recap: Tuscarora Titans vs. Oakdale
The Tuscarora Titans lost against Oakdale back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Tuscarora fell 49-38 to Oakdale. Tuscarora has not had much luck with Oakdale recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Tuscarora's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Laney Barton, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. The game was Barton's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Cahya Jefferson was another key contributor, scoring four points along with 12 rebounds and three steals.
Tuscarora has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Oakdale, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tuscarora will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against North Hagerstown at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th. North Hagerstown is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Oakdale, they will head out on the road to face off against Walkersville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Walkersville is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
