Football Recap: Navarre Comes Up Short

Navarre and Niceville squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Navarre had to settle for second. They fell 19-13 to the Eagles. The Raiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 24-7.

A big part of Niceville's win came down to the chemistry between Peyton Carter and her top target Eden Shaw. Carter threw for 236 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 71.1% of her passes while Shaw picked up 93 receiving yards and one touchdown. That's the most receiving yards Shaw has posted since back in March.

Navarre's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Niceville, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-6.

Navarre does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Niceville, they will square off against Pace at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Eagles 11.6, the Patriots 4.3) so any points scored will be well earned.
