Volleyball Recap: Costa Mesa Takes a Loss

Costa Mesa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ayala Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2016.

Costa Mesa's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Ayala, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Costa Mesa has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Irvine on the 16th. As for Ayala, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Upland at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
