Basketball Recap: Green Hope Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Green Hope dropped to 5-3 on Wednesday, ending the team's five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Apex Friendship Patriots and fell 78-48. The Falcons lost against the Patriots in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 62-56 score last time.

Green Hope's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Korell Griffin, who posted 16 points. Wilbert Hennegan was another key player, going 6-for-12 to rack up 14 points and five rebounds.

As for Apex Friendship, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 75.2 points this season.

Apex Friendship was led to victory by Knox Frey and Connor Sousa. Frey almost dropped a double-double with 22 points and nine boards, while Sousa shot 60% from the field en route to 23 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Landon Henke, who put up nine points.
