Logan is 2-8 against Mountain Crest since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Grizzlies will host the Mustangs at 3:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Logan will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Malad, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Grizzlies have posted since April 19, 2024.
Norah Zundel looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kiki Laing, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. Cadence Boyer was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
Logan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 9.
Meanwhile, Mountain Crest came into Friday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on Green Canyon with a sharp 13-2 win on Friday. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by six runs or more this season.
Morgan Coulam made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off eight hits. Coulam was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Logan hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .327. However, it's not like Mountain Crest struggles in that department as they've averaged .338. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Logan came up short against Mountain Crest in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, falling 8-4. Can the Grizzlies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
