Basketball Game Preview: Mainland Regional Mustangs vs. Pemberton Hornets

The Mainland Regional Mustangs will head out to face off against the Pemberton Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Wednesday, Mainland Regional ended up a good deal behind Middle Township and lost 70-52. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 266th, while the Panthers are ranked 50th).

Meanwhile, Pemberton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-53 heartbreaker at the hands of Holy Cross.

Mainland Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Pemberton, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.
