Volleyball Recap: Rocky Mountain Lutheran Falls Despite Big Games from Izzy Curtis and Sofia Meza-Villa

Rocky Mountain Lutheran managed to slip by Mile High Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Mustangs on Tuesday. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Rocky Mountain Lutheran was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-15, 25-16.

Despite the loss, Rocky Mountain Lutheran had strong showings from Sofia Meza-Villa, who had 11 digs, and Izzy Curtis, who had eight kills, three digs, and two blocks.

Rocky Mountain Lutheran's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-7. As for Mile High Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

Coming up, Rocky Mountain Lutheran will look to defend their home court on Friday against Dawson School at 5:00 p.m. As for Mile High Academy, they will square off against Victory Prep Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
