Volleyball Recap: Pacific Bay Christian Takes a Loss

Pacific Bay Christian was the 2-1 winner over Priory when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers on Saturday.

While Pacific Bay Christian was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by exactly two points. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-23.

Nicole Khim paced Pacific Bay Christian's offense, picking up six kills. Khim got some help from Samantha Lin and her three assists. Lin also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Charlotte Khim, each putting up two.

Pacific Bay Christian's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Priory, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That somehow still isn't as good as their 9-2-1 record this season.

Pacific Bay Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Del Mar on the 27th. As for Priory, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against San Jose on the 27th.
