Softball Recap: Nathan Hale Raiders vs. Ingraham Rams

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Holy Names Academy, Nathan Hale was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They blew past the Ingraham Rams 23-3. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Francis Shutts was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Shutts was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Nathan Hale got a massive performance out of Ellen Belknap, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Ainslie Smith, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
