Volleyball Recap: Leah Miller and Madison Glise Secure Win for St. Joseph Christian

St. Joseph Christian won the last time they faced Mound City and things went their way on Monday too. The Lions walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Panthers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

St. Joseph Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-15.

St. Joseph Christian was led to victory by Madison Glise and Leah Miller. Glise had eight digs and five aces, while Miller had 12 digs and one assist. Those 12 digs gave Miller a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: St. Joseph Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mound City only served three.

St. Joseph Christian's win bumped their record up to 16-6-1. As for Mound City, their defeat ended a five-match streak of away wins and brought them to 18-7-1.
