Volleyball Recap: Crofton Triumphs

Crofton won the last time they faced Boone Central and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Warriors came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Crofton had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-17.

Jaisie Janssen paced Crofton's offense, picking up 15 kills. Janssen got some help from Tylee Cooper and her 22 assists. Janssen was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Boone Central's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Sienna Borer, who had 21 digs, and Addy Hedlund, who had 24 digs and 14 kills. Hedlund has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more kills the last 17 times she's played.

Crofton now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Boone Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season.

Crofton has already played their next game (against Pierce), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Boone Central, they are taking a road trip to challenge Norfolk Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
