Volleyball Recap: Huss Takes a Loss

Huss was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Forestview Jaguars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 4th.

Huss started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-17, 25-9, 25-11.

Huss' defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Forestview, their win bumped their record up to 4-10.

Huss and Forestview could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. The Huskies (ranked 614th) will meet Crest (ranked 270th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Forestview will square off against North Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (405 vs. 45).
