Francis Scott Key extends home losing streak to 12

The Francis Scott Key Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 57-45 to Manchester Valley. While losing is never fun, Francis Scott Key can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 265th, while Manchester Valley is ranked 121st).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Manchester Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brendan Luddy, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Carter Strohman, who scored 17 points along with two steals.

Francis Scott Key bumped their record down to 2-9 with that defeat, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Manchester Valley, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.

Francis Scott Key will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against South Carroll at 7:00 p.m. South Carroll has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 192 points over their last three matchups. As for Manchester Valley, they will head out on the road to square off against Tuscarora at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tuscarora comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
