Basketball Recap: Rice Memorial Comes Up Short

Rice Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 23rd straight loss dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 43-28 to the Enosburg Falls Hornets. The Green Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Rice Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Enosburg Falls, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rice Memorial will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Essex at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025. Enosburg Falls will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Lake Region at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
