Volleyball Recap: Rosamond Roadrunners vs. Bishop Union Broncos
Rosamond lost against Bishop Union back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Roadrunners fell just short of the Broncos by a score of 3-2. The Roadrunners have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
Rosamond wouldn't go down easily and took Bishop Union into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-16, 16-25, 25-22, 15-11.
Rosamond's offense was headlined by Logan Castro and Merilyn Campos, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Kenia Sotelo Salgado and her 24 assists. Campos was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
Rosamond's defeat dropped their record down to 16-14-2. As for Bishop Union, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 20-11-1 record this season.
