Basketball Game Preview: Richland Raiders vs. Moore County Raiders

Richland will square off against Moore County on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Richland sitting on four straight victories and Moore County on 13.

Last Monday, Richland strolled past Fayetteville with points to spare, taking the game 67-52. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Tigers are ranked 246th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Moore County didn't have too much trouble with Cornersville on Monday as they won 34-18. The 34-point effort marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Moore County's win bumped their record up to 22-3. As for Richland, their victory bumped their record up to 27-3.

Richland didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Moore County in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 40-35 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Richland since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
